This multiple award-winning strain was made by infusing the classic Haze genotype with outstanding sativas from Jamaica and Southeast Asia, then back-crossing with a 50/50 Afghan-Haze hybrid. The Amnesia Haze strain has been winning awards since its release in the early 2000s. She’s won two different High Times Cannabis Cups and, most recently, First Prize in the Organic Sativa category at the HighLife awards in Amsterdam.

Seedmarket Amnesia Haze feminized cannabis seeds can grow indoors with artificial light or outdoors in a warm, sunny climate. As an 80/20 sativa/indica hybrid, her blooming period takes a little longer than an indica-dominant strain and she can be expected to gain more height in flowering than a pure indica. This is balanced by the fact that sativa strains need a shorter vegetative growth phase than indicas and can be put into a 12/12 flowering light cycle relatively early.

Growers should assume that Amnesia Haze feminized will increase her vegetated height by 200% to 300% in the blooming phase. This means a plant flowered at around 30cm can finish at a height of 90 to 120cm.

Amnesia Haze has a flowering period of 9 to 11 weeks. At the onset of flowering, large oval calyxes with long white pistils cluster at the nodes and bracts, then rapidly multiply and expand as the buds gain mass. The flower clusters of Amnesia Haze feminized have a tendency to ‘run’ along the main stem and upper branches as they grow towards the light source in the later weeks of flowering. With good illumination, this allows plants to fill their internodal gaps, so that their biggest flower clusters join together to create huge colas of bud.

Thanks to her Afghan indica component, these long sativa-style buds have a pleasing weight and density. The sharp Haze aroma is complemented by a smooth citrus flavour and a sweet-earthy undercurrent.

When properly grown and dried, the flowers of Amnesia Haze feminized display a fantastic amount of sparkling resin on each calyx and even on the small, single-bladed leaves growing in and around her buds.
