In this article you can have a look in our garden, we have five different varieties of White Widow growing there. The varieties which can be found in our garden are all White Widow strains and they come from White Label Seeds, Greenhouse Seeds, Dinafem, Royal Queen Seeds and Dutch Passion.
As you can see in the picture, the plants in our garden are now flowering. Our plants get 12 hours of light per day. In the fifth week after we placed our plants in our garden we have watered our plants once by hand and not through the Autopot system as we usually do. We have done this because we need to add some things to our water. This we must do to keep our soil in optimum condition so that our soil life remains active and produces the necessary nutrients for our plant. We therefore are going to add beneficial soil bacteria (Bactrex) and some food for them (Orgatrex) to the water that we are going to use to water our plants with.
The vegetative period of our plants is now over, we can already see some significant differences between the different varieties. There is quite some difference in height now between the largest and smallest plants in our garden. Fortunately we have been able to observe this already a little bit when we planted the plants in our garden. At the time we have put the largest plants on the outer edges of our grow tent because this is easier. This has proven to be a good choice.
The varieties that produce the largest and tallest plants are the White Widow from Dutch Passion and from Greenhouse seeds. These are significantly higher than those of the other three varieties, all of which are quite uniform and have more or less about the same height. Last time we have snapped some of our White Widow main stems deliberately because they were getting too tall in our tent, the buds of these plants are now developing nicely into a bush. You can also see that our plants have a beautiful deep green color, a sign that they are enjoying themselves in our garden.
The growth pattern of the Dutch Passion and the Greenhouse White Widow is somewhat different from our other plants and tends to exhibit more outspoken Sativa traits. The buds of these plants are slightly smaller than the other ones at this stage.
Our other plants have characteristics that show more indica traits, the plants are shorter and at the moment they seem to produce bigger buds. You can also see that our plant gradually begins with the production of resin glands, the first trichomes are now visible on the leaves around the flower buds.
